Ministry Focus
The ministry focuses on what Jesus has to say to individuals on a very personal basis. The object is to set the stage so people can hear the truth from Jesus for themselves. Therefore, it is less instructional and more of a facilitating prayer ministry. While some instruction may be given, we feel it is better to hear directly from Jesus than from others in the context of this ministry.
Candlelight Ministries uses a methodology called TPM or Transformation Prayer Ministry. It was developed by Dr. Ed Smith. Detailed information, instruction and continued education may be found at www.transformationprayer.org. We also use instruction, mentoring and training in relationship building. The use of TPM is applied in its strictest sense, using consistent guidelines brought forth by Dr. Smith. The ministry consists of a lead minister and the client for privacy and confidentiality. Others may attend sessions with the permission of the client. They are to be observers only and do not participate in the ministry itself. Each session lasts about two hours. All ministers with Candlelight have received extensive ministry themselves thus ensuring credibility with the ministry.
Over the years Candlelight Ministries has ministered to young and old alike. Jesus transforms them all.
Identity Issues
Much of how we relate to the world around us is based upon knowing and understanding who we are. In fact, it is one of the biggest questions to have answered in our lives. Candlelight Ministries seeks to assist individuals in discovering who they are in Christ Jesus and His plan for their lives.
Anger
Scripture tells us to “be angry and sin not” yet, much of deep long-term anger goes way beyond that. In fact, anger is usually not the real issue but something which reflects a much deeper problem. Candlelight Ministries seeks to discover these root issues, find out why they are there and bring the healing of Jesus.
Emotional Woundedness
If I asked the question “who has emotional wounds?” every hand would be raised. Candlelight Ministries discovers the “whys” and the source of this emotional pain. Please note, it is not from what someone did or did not do, but what you believe about it that brings on emotional pain.
Addictions
All addictions have an emotional base of some kind. They all had a beginning. No matter what they are, come as solutions to an emotional problem. Complex to be sure, but Candlelight Ministries seeks to bring Jesus into the reason its there in the first place.
Relational Family Issues
Someone once said “there are no bad marriages, just wounded people.” In the deeper issues that surface I’ve found this to be true. Candlelight Ministries seeks to facilitate the coming to wholeness in individuals who just happened to be married. This includes entire families.
Processing True Forgiveness
Most feel forgiving is something we do. I suppose there is some truth to that. However, forgiving is more something that we are. If we are forgiving it has a completely different foundation than if it’s something we do. That will make all the difference in the success of freedom in the forgiveness arena.
Restoration
This is the result of God’s work in you. Candlelight Ministries partners with Holy Spirit to see this happen as more and more of your life walks in truth.
Hope
Once Jesus begins to put one truth after another in your heart you will find a new hope and excitement for the future.
Mentoring for Continued Transformation
The renewing of the mind according to truth is not a one-time experience, but is to be an on-going process of renewal. It is expected to be an integrated life- long process of true discipleship and growth. Therefore, Candlelight Ministries goes forward to not only effectively minister in initial healing, but also seeks to mentor individuals so that they may themselves apply these principles on their own. It really is a way of life in Christ.
